Ganesha enjoys an exalted position in the Brahmanical faith. Tantra, an offshoot of the same, holds Ganesha in high regard too, with a few iconographical deviations.

The narrow, rectangular scroll has five niches with Ganesha in different forms. Ganesha in Tantrik art is represented with a third eye and the trunk often turning towards the pingala, the spiritual vein on the right. The first niche depicts Ganesha sitting in ardha parayankasana, with an elephant goad and the noose in two hands. Further on, Ganesha is seen as a scribe, writing the Mahabharata, using his tusk as a stylus. The central niche is larger with five heads. He holds various attributes, partaking modakas. The next niche shows Ganesha in profile, as the mouse, his vahana, looks up. The last in row has Nrtt Ganesha, in dancing pose, with his right leg bent and the left one bearing the weight of the body that is in 'tribhanga' pose.
