Tattoo in Madhubani Painting

Tattoo in Madhubani Painting

The beautiful artwork of Mithila region of Bihar, Madhubani paintings are very popular all over the world for their exciting designs, and styles. These paintings are done with a variety of tools, including brushes, fingers, nib-pens, match sticks and twigs. Artists use the natural pigments and dyes to make these mesmerizing art pieces. Usually the designs of these paintings display festivals such as Holi and special occasions like marriage, birth, Durga Puja, Upanayanam, Kali Puja, Surya Sasti etc. Since these paintings originated from the Mithila region of Bihar, they are also known as Mithila paintings.

This beautiful tattoo in Madhubani Paintings is done on handmade paper. The artist has used multiple elements to make this unique painting. It looks like an intricate tattoo design. It looks like a mirrored image as the design in both the halves is the same. From top to bottom there are birds and cocoons arranged in triangular patterns giving the whole painting a unique look. While on the top there is a huge tree whose branches are spread all over. There are two peacocks sitting on the branches of the tree.

The painting looks as if made with pencil. However, the colors used to make this painting are extracted naturally and organically. It has a beautiful border merging well with the overall theme of the painting and giving it a subtle look. The painting has a very beautiful texture and theme, which will simply add character to your wall.
