The finest quality brass has been used to fashion this traditional South Indian lamp. The Lord Krishna, flanked by peacocks, plays a divine tune on His flute. Elegantly carved and detailed tahaniya (branches) emerge from His pedestal and reach up on either side of Him, allowing the peacocks to rest on as they listen to His music. Flocks of parrots and peacocks grace the lower half of the long, slender lamp. Despite being a miniature sculpture, Lord Krishna's iconography in this work of art is replete with flawless shringar, His tribhang posture, and the characteristic stance of His feet. Indeed, this is the perfect ritual implement to express your bhakti (devotion) to the youthful God.
