Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of evils and obstacles as well as the lord of success can be seen in the form of a cosmic dancer with sixteen arms spread in a fan-like shape. His right leg is planted firmly on the dwarf ‘Apasmara’, a symbol of human ignorance. Each arm holds a weapon or symbol of Ganesh depicting the powers of mind. These can destroy the ego and other negativities in the lives of human beings.

The front right hand is held as the Abhaya Hasta or the protection-affording hand gesture, blessing the devotees who rely on the divine mercy of Lord Ganesha. The figurine has a ‘Kirtimukha Prabhavali’, made using peacock tail shaped designs with large curls on both sides. The prabhavali signifies success in all endeavours of his devotees. The statue also has his proboscis facing the left, which symbolises tranquillity and bliss. This makes it ideal for worshipping at home, unlike the one that faces the right side.
The exquisite craftsmanship can be observed in the magnificent stones ingrained in the statue. This dancing Ganesha statue has many features that set it apart from other Ganesh idols. Unlike most idols which depict Ganesha in a calm and composed manner, (padmasana Ganapati), or the dancing pose which looks more playful and charming, here Ganesha is depicted as a warrior doing a ‘tandava’ much like his father, Lord Shiva. Installing and worshipping this beautiful idol will help focus on the right direction to achieve your goals. The dancing Ganesha also invokes enthusiasm and vigour.
