A highly polished brass piece, this intricately carved and finely shaped conch has the effect of awe. The conch has well-defined niches with images carved in low relief. Out of the six niches in the wider end, five of them have images of the Nritta Ganesha in various postures of dancing or playing a musical instrument. The bends of his limbs are carved with extreme clarity. In one of the above niches is a seated image of Shiva and Parvati with a tiger skin beneath them and a canopy above. The narrowing part also has niches with auspicious figures of yakshi or the celestial musicians. A row of swans occupies the top most part of the conch.
Much needs to be mentioned about the luminosity of the highly finished brass polish; refinement in etching out minute details on small figures and the overall execution of skilled craftsmanship.
