The sight of a blooming lotus flower enlightens the heart and mind of a person and Lord Ganesha being connected to it is no less than a treat to the eyes. This superfine brass sculpture is a perfect representation of floral Ganesha having a stylized iconography of the large petals of a divine lotus flower forming Ganesha’s torso and the crowned Elephant-head as the bud blossoming fresh for a peaceful, loving and pleasant mankind. The very sight of this shiny golden brass statue enhances a sense of satisfaction, joy and calmness. Apart from its sound flower structure, Ganesha is bedecked in lavish floral trinkets all over.
His lotus-like crowned head is accessorized with a chained floral ornament and the ears are carved in large flowering patterns having deep striations running towards the circular meshed centre. A similar look of ears and unique lotus feet balances the design and vision of this unique carving. Chaturbhuja (four hands) is symbolic of its immense power and delicate beauty, being fashioned like that of blooming lotus buds semi-enclosed in tiny flower petals. Zoom in below his paunchy belly to a curved small stem, from where this Ganesha idol matures like a magnificent flower, charmed by his glowing perfection, stylish carvings and floral limbs.
Ornamented in graceful long necklace that rests on his belly, Ganesha holds the favorite motichoor laddoo with his trunk embellished in resplendent flower jewel. Sharp vigilant eyes and trishul tilak on forehead are symbolic of him being Shiva’s son. Two mice near his legs bow down in obeisance to their lord. The beautiful and balanced base spread out in frills is similar to that of the round leafy base of a lotus flower and here represents his dhoti formed in flowery pleats.
