The large inlayed Buddha, carved magnificently sits on a magnified lotus throne highlighted in colorful borders and the petals filled in absolute equality. The Buddha, assumingly under the Bodhi tree perches in a padmasana with left hand on the laps and right held high in vitarka mudra representing the wheel of law. He wears an elegant robe having a carved copper border and adjoining lines of multicolored stones complemented by big multicolor flower patterns at a substantial gap; the robe is covered with white stones of cosmic shapes and adequate sizes, representing the universe being laid on him and he being the head of that order.
This awakend one explained his teachings and inspired the world with profound insights to the true nature of reality. The sculptor’s applauds are unforgettable in the carving of this statue as the microscopic elements like, breaks in fingers, sharp pointed nose, curve of the high browed eyes, structure of lips depicting his inner emotions of happiness and confidence, inlayed ears and the composition of his hair are formed in appropriate order and perfect erection.
