The border of the sari is done in both sides in a brocade pattern with the traditional floral and creeper pattern. The brocade work is done in black and biscuit color threads that contrast the brown color. Brocade is one of the most traditional and complex weaves from Benares, that is traditionally woven with gold zari threads.
The pallav is very rich with small floral and creeper pattern done also in brocade. The small design adds richness and fullness to the entire sari.
