Foreword

Savami Purna is a true living teacher who can explain in a real sense the profound spiritual tradition that has perennial and universal relevance for all of humanity. When we define teachers they usually fall into of the two categories, that is:

Those teachers who have information, theoretical and book knowledge, who have some achievement in life and recognition in the world through scholarly presence, yet do not practice what they teach; or

Those teachers who have attained great knowledge and wisdom though traditional spiritual and though the practice and implementation of the teaching in their lives, those who have live and continue to live according to the principles that they teach.

In this selection of discourses various key concepts for an approach to living-a technique to live- are explored. The discourses are based on their true Vedic and Sanskrit origin. They represent a guide in the individual’s search for universal truth, joy and spiritual fulfillment. When Svami Purna gives a discourse he deals groups, different nationalities, religions and backgrounds and he is faced with many different cultures. Through his guidance he leads them to a clearer and fuller dimension of life that is relevant all over the world.

The explanation of such fundamental issues through the discourses of Svami Purna offers the reader a real opportunity to understand their message. Some of the selected pieces are discourses on a chosen topic or subject: others are in the from of a specific question and answer session typical of the traditional approach by real teachers of such living knowledge. All of them have ongoing practical significance for all of us we experience the ups and down of life and try to live in the spirit of practical spirituality. I wanted to let you know how happy we are with our framed pieces of Shree Durga and Shree Kali. Thank you and thank your framers for us. By the way, this month we offered a Puja and Yagna to the Ardhanarishwara murti we purchased from you last November. The Brahmin priest, Shree Vivek Godbol, who was visiting LA preformed the rites. He really loved our murti and thought it very paka. I am so happy to have found your site , it is very paka and trustworthy. Plus such great packing and quick shipping. Thanks for your service Vipin, it is a pleasure.
