The cowherdesses of Vrindavan were entranced by the haunting sound of Krishna's flute. They would leave their homes to be with him. But his favourite was Radha. The horizontal panel is divided into sections with Krishna in each of them with a gopi. The central niche has Krishna and Radha with their standing bodies entwined around each other. The blue body of Krishna and the golden one of Radha are a sharp contrast. Their bodies are frontal, but their faces are in profile as they look towards each other. Two maids in waiting stand facing the opposite direction with a hand fan and a flywhisk each. In the other smaller niches, Krishna can be seen with gopis in different poses. Their figures are elegant, in divibhanga or tribhanga posture. The faces of all the figures are in firm profile.

The colour palette is not very bright but stands out, against the beige background.
