Rajasthan is a land of the most wonderful works of art and craft. Depicting romantic love is one of their favourite themes, which they blend with sensuality, elegance, grace and a kind of spirituality. For arriving at such a synthesis, they use the love lore of Radha and Krishna as their model for depicting various romantic moods and situations..

The vast green stretches, interspersed with shrubs and trees; rocks jutting our from the sides; a lotus pond lit by the moon above; the blue skies holding a beaming moon; the curling clouds racing ahead; this scenic beauty plays host to Radha and Krishna. In one of their united poses, where one can not distinguish where Radha's body starts and Krishna's end, they are together in body and spirit. The usually baretorso of Krishna is clad in a long sleeved garment and a tight pyjama. The crown is elaborate with the kalgas going in all directions; dense strings of pearls come close to the forehead. Radha is dressed in a flowing skirt and jewellery. Her crown is simpler, having one kalga in the centre. Her limbs are entwined around Krishna, as if in fear of losing him: little does she know that Krishna is as besotted with her as much as she is..

The artist has used various tones of green for the background which look attractive. He used different bright colours for the attire which is absolutely jarring to the eye..
