Art in India has been intimately concerned with the experience of 'ramanyata', the beautiful. It constitutes the core of aesthetic state which vitalizes the individual consciousness of man. An artist's work is an explosion of the human spirit - revealing beauty and bliss.

Kishangarh style of painting is easily identifiable by its typical facial features. Here Radha is portrayed with an elongated face, arches eye brows, lotus-like eyes tinged with pink, a sharp nose, thin sensitive lips and a pointed chin. Her face is delicate and refined, and neck decorated with necklaces of precious stones and pearls. She adorns a transparent odhini, the fringe of which she holds with her hand. This seemingly innocuous gesture greatly enhances her charm. Radha and Krishna both wear overflowing garments and the former also wears a short revealing bodice. Krishna is attired as a prince . He wears an embroidered jama and a turban. The lovers are seated, elegantly dressed, exchanging colloquies of love, as Krishna lifts the face of a shy Radha. A heart shaped halo encompasses the two lovers and the sharing of the nimbus symbolizes that the two are one.

The graceful figures of Radha and Krishna with their dignified poise and naturalness in expression provide a glow to the composition. The line drawing is expressive and distinctive. With typical architecture in the background and fruits and flowers in the foreground, the artist establishes completely a feeling of balance and continuity between different contents.
