The artist, has chosen a vertical format to represent the towering temple architecture in its pristine beauty. A small structure in the bottom half goes to show the interior of the surrounding tall temple. The upper half shows smaller temple structures in niches which house deities of lesser importance ones associated with the major deity to which the temple is dedicated.
The artist has used clear lines and few but relevant colours to portray his perception of the temple. According to colour symbolism, red infuses energy and yellow is the colour of devotion and bhakti; white represents purity, hence sacred. The artist refrains from depicting any image of a deity, thereby keeping it secular. He has also omitted superfluous frills which would go against the idea of simplicity and divinity.
