Batik is a variety of tie and dye technique. Batik is a kind of resist dye where the design is drawn and the areas, which are to be dyed with a different color, are waxed. When the cloth is dipped in color the areas that are waxed do not get colored and then a separate color is applied to the rest of the cloth.
The kameeez is in green with resist dye in black and white. On the neck and hands there is a floral design in black and white. The salwar is also in a similar batik green and black dye. The dress is accompanied by a dupatta which is in a similar dye as the dress, with a black border.
A very comfortable and elegant dress.
