The border is plain with a wrinkled texture in between zari threads. The pallav is very rich and forms the main attraction with zari colored threads contrasting the body of the sari. There are large floral and architectural motifs, that are a part of the architectural traditions of the Mughal style. This sari greatly resembles the brocaded saris of Benares, which are complex weaves, usually done with golden zari threads.
