This compilation by Pal Dhall consists of 13 divine discourses by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. They carry lustrous pieces of advice to parents and children alike that would help them lead a successful life.
He has clarified the role of parents, especially the mother in the family who nurses and nurtures every member with equal love and affection. Besides giving directions to the children in general as to how they should conduct themselves in life, He has also advised them how they should develop the right attitude while facing responsibilities. Above all, He has stressed that they should revere and respect their parents and love them with a sense of gratitude. It is most essential for a child to have the blessings of the mother, if it has to grow up and lead a successful and peaceful life.
Pointing out that the present state of affairs is due to the lack of proper upbringing by not teaching lessons in spirituality, culture and human values and not inculcating the purpose of life, He has exhorted that parents themselves should reflect these qualities in their personal life before advising the children to grow on those line. He has given many examples of noble mothers who brought up their children in an admirable manner that enabled the latter to become shining stars in their life.
The compiler has also thoughtfully added an article of Prof. Kasturi that appeared in Sanathana Sarathi, a monthly magazine, published from Prasanthi Nilayam. This article is an extract from the latter's remarkable book "Easwaramma the Chosen Mother", which brings out deeply moving incidents from the divine life of Mother Easwaramma that gives glimpses of the role played by her in the divine mission of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
