A Journey into Stillness

Invite serenity and contemplation into your space with this exquisitely crafted representation of the Buddha. More than just a beautiful object, this statue is a powerful symbol of enlightenment, inner peace, and the cessation of suffering – core tenets of Buddhist philosophy. Imagine its presence transforming your meditation room, study, or living area into a sanctuary of tranquility. The statue captures the Buddha in a moment of profound meditation, embodying the essence of stillness. This is not merely a depiction; it's an invitation to quiet the mind and find solace within. The statue has dimensions of 15.7 x 12.0 x 7.0 inches.

The Language of the Hands: Dhyana Mudra

The Buddha's hands are gracefully positioned in the Dhyana Mudra, a symbolic gesture deeply rooted in Buddhist tradition. This hand position, often described as the "meditation mudra," signifies profound contemplation and the balance of the mind. The right hand rests atop the left, palms upward, with the tips of the thumbs gently touching. This forms a sacred triangle, representing the spiritual fire and the attainment of perfect wisdom. Legend has it that this was the posture Shakyamuni Buddha adopted under the Bodhi tree as he reached enlightenment. It embodies the state of perfect equilibrium, a state accessible to all who seek inner peace.

The Lotus Throne: A Seat of Purity

The Buddha is seated upon a double lotus throne, a symbol of purity, spiritual awakening, and divine birth. The lotus, emerging from muddy waters to bloom in pristine beauty, serves as a metaphor for the human potential to rise above suffering and attain enlightenment. In Buddhist cosmology, the lotus is closely associated with spiritual growth, self-regeneration, and rebirth. The double lotus adds another layer of significance, representing the perfected union of wisdom and compassion. This throne elevates the Buddha above the mundane, emphasizing his transcendence and spiritual authority.

Crafted with Devotion

This piece is crafted from brass, a metal often associated with divinity, resilience, and enduring value. The statue's texture and luster adds to its aura of spirituality. The durability of brass ensures that this inspiring representation of the Buddha will be a cherished part of your home for years to come, a constant reminder of the path to enlightenment and inner peace.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
