Book Description
Lord Shiva, the Auspicious the Adideva, the first of the deities, is considered by Indian as the ever first and prime source of life. From Him originated the time and the space, the light and the darkness, the oceans and the skies, the matter and the soul, the abstract and the concrete, the action and the inaction and the life and the death, and from Him ensured the touch, the sensation, the sound - its linguistics and music, the dance - its rhythm, delicacy, expression, grace and curves, the love, the good, the benefaction and all that art and culture ever stood for or sought to represent.

For Indians it is Lord Shiva who created from within him, as also out of him, the cosmos and its unruly incoherent elements. The Ganadhipati Shiva commanded their incoherence to rule and the Isana, the Ruler Shiva, ruled them to order and thus created cosmic order. He sorted out the good from the evil, the fair from the foul, the beautiful from ugly, the auspicious from the inauspicious and the acceptable from the discardable and thereby systematised instincts and the instinctive inner of all created beings and by synthesizing all that was good into the 'supreme good' created 'love' imbibing which into his own being became the first god of love.
