Swami Sivananda

In order to promote yoga, Vedanta, and spiritual living, Swami Sivananda a well-known Hindu spiritual teacher and yogi, formed the Divine Life Society. He was born in Tamil Nadu, India, and completed his medical training before deciding to give up his career in medicine and devote himself to spiritual practise.

More than 200 volumes on yoga, Vedanta, and spirituality were written by Swami Sivananda, who was a prolific author. He taught a straightforward and practical method of yoga and meditation that stressed the value of self-discipline, service to others, and devotion to God because he believed that spiritual practise should be available to everyone.

Karma yoga, often known as selfless service, was another concept that Swami Sivananda held to be powerful in fostering spiritual development and transformation. The world's spiritual community has been profoundly impacted by Swami Sivananda's message of universal love and the harmony of all religions, and his legacy continues to motivate searchers from all backgrounds and traditions.
