The devotees in Udupi had a gala time during this paryaya of Sri Vidyadheesha Teertha Swamiji of Palimar Math. Daily annadanam and jnanadanam provided wholesome food for both the stomach and the head. Musicians, dramatists and such other artistes contented themselves completely by performing on stages and offering these performances as Sevas to the Lord.
The Swamiji worshipped the Lord, also offering the Vajra Kavacha Mukhyaprana in the Bhojanashala played his part by accepting the Suvarna Kavacha. The swamiji performed a unique Seva, by covering the dvara or entrances and the mukha mantapam with silver plates. Completely giving up to the enchanting and ever smiling swamiji, the devotees themselves came in large numbers and performed their part of the Seva by providing financial support.
Koti nama archana and koti Tulasi archana to Sri Krishna, bilva patra archana to Shiva - these are only a few scriptural procedures by which the swamiji performed a unique paryaya, obtaining the Grace of Sri Madhwacharya and Sri Krishna.
Another specialty is the Seva offered to the children, which is cherished by Balakrishna. Noon meals in the form of Sri Krishna Prasad to thousands of students, free health checkups to the children by various child specialists, exhibition of talents by children in the presence of the Lord - these gave a new look to the paryaya.
For the climination of environmental pollution, gardens were made. Navagrahavana and Nakshatravana were created.
For the elimination of intellectual pollution, sarvamoola classes and discourses on scriptures were held by the swamiji through various scholars.
There is a need for the encryption of the various activities held in this unique paryaya. This has to be an encouraging factor for the next generation. This has to show the light for the generation-x. Such a step is being taken by the Tarwa samshodana samsat.
I look forward to the fact that this souvenir becomes a path-finder for the people.
