About the Book Ashwatthama's Redemption: The Bow of Rama is the sequel to Ashwatthama's Redemption: The Rise of Dandak. The story traces another action-packed chapter of the journey of the immortal warrior, Ashwatthama, son of Dronacharya. The Battle of Dwarka is over at a high cost for Ashwatthama and his allies as they lose the only weapon that could have killed Dandak. They regroup and strategise to counter Dandak and the asura army, and a new revelation sends Ashwatthama on a journey to find answers to difficult questions. War looms over Avanti and Hastinapur, and Dandak's reign of terror starts spreading across Aryavarta. As the killing spree begins, loyalties are questioned. Ashwatthama must once again face his past to find the solution to this devilish conflict in the web of complex relationships, friends and foes. Magic and dark arts, divinity and sophisticated weaponry, physical strength and mental stamina, moral convictions, and strategic war-plans - all play a role in deciding who will win the final battle.

Acknowledgements Ashwatthama's Redemption: The Bow of Rama, the sequel to Ashwatthama's Redemption: The Rise of Dandak, is the final part of the duology. The entire story was initially supposed to be in a single book but as destiny would have it, the story became bigger and so the sequel saw the light of day. I am grateful to many people who have helped me on this journey. First of all, thanks to my family members who suffered my long phases of writing at night, understanding my need to finish this manuscript. Thanks to my brother, Saurabh Porwal, for reading the first draft and encouraging me to go ahead. Thanks to my cousin Priti Jayanthi and brother-in-law Aditya Jayanthi for reading it and giving their detailed feedback. The comments from Aditya helped me fine-tune the book at an early stage. I'm thankful to my friend Ashutosh Gore, who read the draft and suggested improvements. It delighted me when his daughter Mriganka asked for a sequel to the first book when she finished it, and I was happy to provide this one as the draft was almost done.
