The magazines he had founded and managed along with one of India's finest printing presses, the incredible films he had produced, the largest film studio in South East Asia he had founded and the first multi-speciality hospital in South India he had established are by now legendary. Bestowed with awards and accolades in each and every field he had ventured into, Sri Nagi Reddi never owned his success, instead he credited it to his unit members. A true karma yogi. About The Author

     

 

B. Viswanatha Reddi Popularly Known as Viswam is the third son of the legendary phenomenon Sri B.Nagi Reddi. Between 1963 and till his retirement in 2005, he was the publisher of the reputed children's magazine - Chandamama'. During his tenure, the 9 languages magazine grew into 15 languages including in Santhali, Sanskrit and Sinhala, along with 4 languages in Braille. Simultaneously he was also editing film and women's monthly magazines in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada languages, besides "The Heritage" and 'Junior Chandamama' in English among other journals. During his tenure as the District Governor of Rotary International District 3230 he made remarkable contribution for the eradication of Polio through Polio Plus Programme and he was actively associated with the Madras Chapter of War Widows Association, The Down's Research Society (India) and the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai Kendra. He served as the Under Sheriff of Madras for two terms in 1986 and 1987. Prominent among the honours and awards bestowed on him were 'Satdharma Bhodhaka Tilakam' title conferred on him by H. H. Sri Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham in 1984 and FICCI BAF Awards in 2007 for his contribution to the Indian Animation Industry. 'Samaya Samudaya Nanmani' title conferred by Sri Guru Mahasannidanam of Thiruvaduthurai Adheenam in 2008.
