When Manju impulsively decides to visit her married elder sister’s family in Pune, she is in for a shock. Mrs. Dwarka Prasad, the matriarch runs the household with an iron grip. The mealtimes are scheduled, the number of cups of tea or other refreshments is strictly rationed. Soft voices are the rule of the day. What surprises Manju even more is the way her sister, a fun loving girl, has adapted to the rules and rigours of her new family. For the free spirited and fun loving Manju, this is a challenge. And she merrily mounts an assault on the iron grip of discipline that holds the family in its grip, with totally, unintended consequences.
