In the circumstances, an Indian edition has been prepared by him on the basis of his part only, omitting his own opening chapter as well as the chapters written by the other two co-authors. This is in the interest of the Indian public. The present publisher, Paschimbanga Bangla Akademi, had its interest in Bengali language also in view.
