Foreword
All Indian philosophies are aiming to liberate humans from the worldly bonds, rebirth and eternal sufferings. Yogic science, traditionally practiced for salvation has now been universally accepted due to its therapeutic potentialities. Even though, ancient Yoga practitioners had experienced the truths taught by the Maharshi Gurus, now it has become necessary to prove those things scientifically. This is a difficult task as the modern testing parameters and the material structured instruments may not be sufficient or suitable to measure the non- material experiences of those practitioners, as mentioned in the Vedas and other scriptures. Prof. V. Shama Bhat, a physicist having more than 50 years of academic and research experience, and keen interest in Indian tradition and systems, has done a most appropriate effort in this direction.
Preface
Brahma Chaithanya is the omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient A-kasha, (meaning not-visible in Sanskrit language), the non-material energy in the Brahmaanda-Universe, described in Shruthis, Smrithis, (Vedas, Upanishads,) Puranas, etc. This is the Creator of all materials, non-material energies and the entire living species. This is identified as the formless Almighty controlling all the events in the Universe.
