Book Description
About the Book
Greetings, I Am Akshaya Lekshmi. S. R, and I am thrilled to present my first published work. Hailing from the beautiful region of Kanyakumari and currently based in Coimbatore, I am a passionate Ph.D. scholar specializing in English literature with a keen focus on Indian mythologies. My academic journey has been enriched by the publication of several papers in this field, and now, I am excited to introduce my latest endeavor. In this upcoming book, A Distinct Panoramic View on Shiva Trilogy, I delve into the fascinating world of Indian mythologies through a comprehensive study of the Shiva trilogy by Amish. Drawing upon my expertise and research, I aim to provide an insightful analysis of these literary works by comparing and contrasting them with existing mythological narratives. Through this exploration, I hope to offer readers a fresh perspective and a deeper understanding of the rich tapestry of Indian mythology.I am Immensely grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for literature and mythology with you, and I sincerely hope that my work will resonate with enthusiasts and scholars alike.

Introduction
Vedic Age refers to the period in the history of Indian subcontinent between the end of Indus valley civilization and a second urbanisation, which began in the central Indo-Gangetic plain during 600 BC. The Vedic period got its name from Vedas, which were the chief literary texts of Hinduism. This period was considered greater in many aspects. It was the time when the culture and civilization of Indian subcontinent reached its highest point. The Vedic society was patriarchal. The foundation of the political and social structure of the Vedic age was family. They began their life with agriculture by clearing the forests of the western Gangetic plains. Later, they developed towns and kingdoms. Thus, they began a more sophisticated living in the form of society. From there began the Vedic age in the history of India. Later on, the Indian subcontinent was divided into several kingdoms such as Kuru Kingdom, Panchala Dynasty, Videha, Haryana Dynasty, Mahajanapadas and so on. The Vedic period was important as far as the history of India is considered. It was believed that Vedic era began with the invasion of Aryans. The details of the Aryans can be found on Rigveda-Samhita, the oldest layer of Vedas. It was believed that the Aryans brought along with them their distinctive religious and cultural practises which later formed the Vedic culture.
