About the Authors
The encyclopaedia is complied with mainly by two South Indian scholars-Dr. G. Ramakrishna and Smt. N. Gayathri. Both are well known writers in contemporary Kannada literature and both are well known in Karnataka for their extensive activities connected with various progressive organisations. Dr. G. Ramakrishna is more over Professor of English literature in Bangalore though with his doctorate dissertation is In Vedic Sanskrit. In planning, editing and giving final shape to the book Dr G. Ramakrishna and Smt. N. Gayathri worked in close collaboration with the well known Marxist Philosopher Professor Debiprasad Chattopadhyaya.
