India-Bangladesh Cooperation Broadening Measures provides a collection of papers presented at a Workshop held in the Administrative Training Institute, Calcutta, on 26-27 December 1995. The workshop was sponsored by the Peace Studies Group, Department of History, Calcutta University, and South Asia Research Society, Calcutta.
These papers deal with a number of issues ranging from the expansion of economic-techno-logical cooperation to the optimum utilization of water resources. The book is unique in two ways. First, it offers contributions from renowned intellectuals in the fields of literature, social sciences (including history), engineering and law. Secondly, authors of this book have demonstrated that they are concerned more with suggesting solutions to problems than with identifying problems, more with illustrating the potentialities of cooperation than with stating limits to cooperation. The book is expected, therefore, to be useful to students, teachers, researchers and decisionmakers.
