About the Book So far as the chronology of Indian history is concerned, we find the astronomical dateline everywhere, as the Indian writers were well versed In astronomy. They have gave astronomical datelines everywhere in literally sources or epigraphic records. So, the need is to formulate an ancient calendar which would help us to verify the references in literary and epigraph records leading to the construction of a true chronology of Indian history. The author has made an humble attempt to construct the 7000 years old calendar of various Indian eras and lunar months and was able to successfully verify the astronomical datelines quoted in the epigraphic records, Puranas and other Sanskrit texts. So the epochs of various personalities and events of Indian history could be dated exactly. The authors hope that the present work will be helpful to the learned and the laity alike, for a throughout understanding of the actual and factual dateline of Indian history.
