Book Description
About the Book
Do you feel yourself stuck at a kindergarten level in your life's journey and have no idea how to get out of it? Do you really thirst for a realm of both outer and inner prosperity? Without a doubt, you will find this book to be a blessing and an invaluable friend! 'Bhaja Govindam' verses by Shri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada are undoubtedly a starting point for exploring the realm of the Highest! Numerous Mahatmas have expounded on it! But this book is certainly unique, creatively presented to us by author Sharanya, like candy coated with lots of fun and puns-one of her hallmarks! Further, Meghna's eye candy illustrations are highly effective! Enjoy yourself enormously while reading! But in the process, be prepared for a 'hammer' (Mudgara) to land perfectly on your head, shaking you initially and then launching you on a brand-new, fruitful trip! Wishing you all a pleasant journey!

About the Author
Sharanya is an arts and cultural enthusiast who aims to inculcate and galvanize the rich traditional Indian values and spirituality in the younger generation through humour and creativity. She, who has a penchant for pun, wordplay, and sense of humour, has been hailed as 'Crazy Mohini' (the female version of the humourist and Tamil script writer Late Sri. 'Crazy' Mohan) by the legend himself. She is the founder of 'Little India' in Dublin, Ireland, where she teaches Indian values, the importance of Indian festivals, Mantras, Bhajans, Puranic stories, etc., through arts, crafts, story-telling, puppetry, and music. She is an integral part of eminent musician Dr. Kuldeep M Pai's "Vande Guru Paramparaam' team and extends creative support and English translations for all his spiritual and musical samarpans. She is also an anchor, interviewer, writer, and YouTuber.

Foreword
"Happiness is our nature. It is not wrong to seek it. But seeking it externally, when it resides within, is where we falter." Isn't it universally acknowledged that our pursuit, since time immemorial, is happiness and liberation from sorrow? In this collective quest, most of us are overwhelmed with dissatisfaction. Why? Perhaps because we seek fulfilment in material possessions and external experiences, overlooking the reservoir of joy within ourselves. Just as medicines cure physical and psychological ailments, sages offer remedies for our 'ignorance' of the source of lasting bliss. Though many such paths have been illuminated by countless sages, we often fail to embrace them. It's akin to a child rejecting bitter medicine, failing to grasp its curative essence. Similar to a child who is fed the medicine laced with honey, these profound teachings often require engaging presentations for universal accessibility. The ancient sage Veda Vyasa, for instance, adorns the Bhagavatam with captivating stories infused with profound teachings, much like a chef masking nutritious herbs that are bitter in a flavorful dish. Similarly, Sharanya Akka, in her 'pun'derful commentary on Jagadguru Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada's "Mohamudgara," attempts to blend humour and wisdom to make these teachings accessible to the modern layperson. This approach aims not only to entertain but also to educate, bridging the gap between the profound and the playful.

Preface
My humble prostrations at the lotus feet of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada. As I envision and meditate upon Acharya's state of complete surrender and humility in the aforesaid lines, tears stream down my cheeks as a result of intense contemplation and guilt. If He, the embodiment of jñāna, a poetic genius, had uttered such words, then what could I, a mere müdhamatë' (fool) say? Do I even have the capability to try and endeavour to offer viewpoints on a masterpiece like 'mohamudgara? This monumental task of expressing this magnificent creation through wit and wordplay could not have been accomplished without Acharya's infinite grace and compassion! As fear engulfed my mind while embarking on this journey, I was reminded of an anecdote of Śrī Rāmakrišna Paramahamsa: "You may follow either the path of a baby monkey or that of a baby cat. The baby monkey holds onto its mother in order to be carried about, and it must hold firm; otherwise, if it loses its grip, it falls.
