Academy of Sanskrit Research, now known as 'Bhagavad Ramanuja National Research Institute' at Melkote has been engaged in Research and Publication activity since its inception in the year 1977. In the process it has more than 200 Publications to its credit. The Institute has already brought out several books on Visistadvaita Philosophy. The present work titled Jääratnaprakasika is the twelth in the series of published works from unpublished manuscript collection of the institute.
'Jñāratnaprakāśika' has been authored by Surapuram Shri Srinivasacharya. The manuscript is in Telegu script, but the language of the work is Sanskrit (Acc no. 8E). We compared this manuscript with other two Manuscripts found in Melkote Sanskrit college (Acc no. 1342&1350) which were written in Grantha script. The life history of the author or even his period, unfortunately are not known clearly to us.
'Jääratnaprakāśika' is a work that gives clear idea about three tattvas or realities namely, matter, individual self and God. Institute has a proposal to publish works from its unpublished manuscript collection and this work has been published from our palm-leaf manuscript collection preserved by BRNRI. We are yet to publish many more works on our tradition, culture and rich heritage of great value.
