Pooja Set Up

Before you Start the Pooja keep the set up ready as described below.

Idols

Cover the chourang/chowki with a red cloth. Place the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesh in a way that Lakshmi is on the hand side of Ganeh as depicted in the picture below. Using a mixture of saffron and sandalwood paste draw an Ashtadal Kamal (lotus with eight petals) between the two idols/ photo frames.

For Navagraha Poojan

Navagraha denotes the nine celestial bodies the sun the moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, and the two shadow planets Rahu and Ketu. For Navagarh poojan take 9 suparis and place then in a way that the biggest supari is in the centre and the other are around it. Apply tilak to all the Suparis.

For Kalash Poojan

Place paans (betel leaves) or Mango leaves and a coconut on the Kalash.
