The original book 'Makers of The Aryasamaj' written by Sh. Diwan Chand Sharma was published long ago in 1935. Much time has elapsed since then. It is therefore considered necessary to bring out this latest edition with some modification and correction wherever required. In this present edition, several new pages have been added, which provide more information in order to highlight important facts and features in respect of the Makers of The Aryasamaj.
It is hoped that the lives of these extraordinary great men who are the outstanding leaders of the ARYASAMAJ will inspire our present generation to make some useful contribution in the service of our country and the mankind.
I have written these books to make people familiar with the lives and works of some of the most outstanding personalities connected with the Arya Samaj. In order to make their appeal as wide as possible I have written them in rather simple language. I trust these books will be read by everybody who is interested in the achievements of the great. They will, I am sure, afford a particular delight to the young for they will inspire them to live nobly and unselfishly. It need not be added that every attempt has been made to make these books as free from the sectarian spirit as possible.
