लेखक परिचय आदित्य रहबर का जन्म बिहार के मुजफ्फरपुर जिले के कांटी प्रखंड के पानापुर हवेली गाँव में हुआ है। इन्होंने लंगट सिंह कॉलेज, मुजफ्फरपुर से स्नातक किया है। वर्तमान में हिन्दी साहित्य में स्नातकोत्तर के साथ ही, सिविल सेवा परीक्षा की भी तैयारी कर रहे हैं। आदित्य लेखन के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय हैं। इनकी कविताएँ सत्ता एवं समाज से सवाल उठाते हुए अप्रिय सत्य को उजागर करती हैं। हजारीबाग प्रशासन ने इनकी कविता को होर्डिंग पर प्रदर्शित किया है। बहराइच के एक स्कूल की दीवार पर भी इनकी कविता लिखी गई है। आदित्य शॉर्ट फिल्में भी लिखते हैं, जिनमें 'ईदी' को इंटरनेशनल फिल्म फेस्टिवल में चुना गया है। उनकी फिल्म 'विराम' को भी सराहा गया है। 2024 में इन्हें बिहार हिन्दी साहित्य सम्मेलन द्वारा महाकवि आरसी प्रसाद सिंह स्मृति सम्मान से नवाज़ा गया है।

भूमिका आज से चार साल पीछे जाकर जब मैं स्वयं को देखता हूँ तो दिखता है गाँव का एक लड़का जो इतिहास से ग्रैजुएट होकर उसी भीड़ में शामिल है (हालाँकि, इतिहास विषय को लेकर हमारे यहाँ मान्यता है कि इसे केवल पढ़ने में कमज़ोर या औसत छात्र ही चुनते हैं)। जिसके पास स्वयं को साबित करने का एकमात्र विकल्प है सरकारी नौकरी। जहाँ यह कोई नहीं बताता कि तुम्हें कितना इंसान बनना है, तुममें कितनी बची रहनी चाहिए संवेदना, तुम्हें सक्षम होने से पहले हो जाना चाहिए एक ठीक-ठाक मनुष्य, जिसे देखकर मनुष्यता की औसत ही सही, एक परिभाषा गढ़ी जा सके। जिस समाज से मैं आता हूँ वहाँ पढ़ने का चलन नहीं रहा है। पढ़ने के नाम पर परीक्षाएँ पास कर लेना भर ही पर्याप्त होता है। हाँ, अब थोड़ी उम्मीद जगी है, गाँव के कुछ लड़के पढ़ने का अर्थ समझने लगे हैं। उनकी भी अब बुकशेल्फ़ बनने लगी है। मेरे गाँव में किताबें पढ़ना क़ाबिल (यह शब्द वहाँ तंज के रूप में इस्तेमाल होता है) होना माना जाता है। बावजूद इसके पापा को ग़बन, गोदान और मार्क्सवाद के कुछ बुनियादी आर्टिकल पढ़ते देखा है। आप कह सकते हैं कि पढ़ने की आदत मुझे विरासत में मिली है। किन्तु, मैं तब नहीं पढ़ता था। दिल्ली में साल २०१८ में बड़ी दीदी और जीजा जी ने मुझे गोद ले लिया। हाँ, गोद लेना ही कहूँगा क्योंकि इन्होंने ही मेरा पालन-पोषण किया है और अब तक कर रहे हैं। मेरी दो माएँ हैं- एक दीदी जो साथ रहती हैं और एक माँ जो गाँव में रहती हैं। इन लोगों की अपेक्षाओं की सबसे बड़ी दुश्मन हैं- मेरी कविताएँ। माँ का स्पष्ट कहना है "हमरा कबिता वबिता से कौनो मतलब ना है, हमरा नौकरी चाही।" माँ को दुनियादारी की समझ है।
