I am immensely happy to introduce my one-time colleague and dear friend Prof. Dr. Keyur K. Parekh who has been serving as an Associate Professor of English in Shri. J. L. K. Kotecha Arts and Smt. S. H. Gardi Commerce College, Kakanpur, District Panchmahals, Gujarat. I had a pleasure of serving in the same college as the Principal and the Head of the Department of English for more than twenty years. Dr. Parekh joined my college and my department on 29th November, 1996, as a full-time lecturer in English. From day one, he gave a strong sign that here was a young, enthusiastic boy who had come to stay in this field permanently and would shortly leave his imprints with a significant work in the subject which the students of his college were not at all keen to learn... It was like swimming against the stream but he was determined to conquer the deep-rooted disrespect and disinterestedness for this language in the minds of his students... Soon he started learning the techniques of teaching this foreign language in simple, straight-forward and interesting style... He used to sit with his senior colleagues of different departments and displayed his genuine and keen interest in knowing new things that might help him teach his subject more effectively and encourage his students to learn this language with interest and as time went by, he established himself as one of the darling teachers of the college.
