Book Description
About The Book

Some tempt you with mangoes, some cut fish-y deals to do your dirty work... Strange creatures lurk in the dark night of a Kerala village, and 93-year-old Pazhumadathil Narayana Keshava Panicker claims to have seen them all.

Inspired by his father-incorrigible fabricator, ingenious 'mythologist, dazzling raconteur, P. N. K. Panicker himself! -Suresh Eriyat set out to make an animation film that would be "an instruction manual for ghosts". Adithi Krishnadas drew up an illustrative style like a graphic novel, and the brilliant, hilarious, National Award-winning film in Malayalam turned into exactly that, catapulting ghouls from screen to page.

This English adaptation carries the pithy oral flavour of the original spook stories... and out prance the Kuttichathans and Eenampechis of Kerala folklore to send some spicy shivers down the spine!

SURESH ERIYAT is an animation filmmaker who contributed to a dynamic shift in the landscape of his art, and co-founded Studio Eeksaurus.
