These ranged from its employees coming from different parts of India to researchers and scholars from around the world who utilized its rich collection; and from dignitaries to casual visitors. This unique anthology of memoirs and reminiscences presents an intimate tale of cherished memories and experiences in the form of a personalized history of the National Archives of India which celebrated its 125th Foundation Year in 2016. In addition, Part II of the book traces the evolution for the Imperial Record Department into the National Archives of India. Together with carefully collated appendices, this book appeals to all lovers of history.

About the Editors Dr. Syamalendu Sengupta (b. 1941), retired from the National Archives of India in 2002 as Officer on Special Duty. He lives with his family in Kolkata.
