Preface THE first edition of the SAIVA UPANISAD-s was issued by the then Director of the Adyar Library Pandit A. Mahadeva Sastri in 1925. It went out of print in 1948. The demand for copies of the work showed a steady increase, and a reprint was issued to meet the demand in 1950. This is a second reprint of the first edition.

HE materials on which is based this edition of the AIVA-UPANIŞAD-S comprised in this volume are the me as those described in the volume of The Yoga Upanishads.
