I first came across manuscript of Rudradeva's Samnyasa paddhati the library the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, funded the National Endowment the Humanities the U.S.A. During following months gathered and collated a large number of manuscripts found in major libraries of Maharashtra and Gujarat. However, was not my return the able many problems associated with That would not have been possible but for generous assistance Dr. V. Bhide of the University Poona.

In the rush to gather all the available manuscripts my departure from I myself many overworked include the library the following institu tions: Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Poona; Deccan College, Poon; University of Bombay; Bombay of the Royal Asiatic Society; Bharata Itihasa Samsodhaka Mandala, Poona: Vaidika Samsodhana Mandala; Poona; Pathaśälä, Wai; Oriental Institute, Baroda.thank for their patience and assistance.
