Sangraha Ramayana of Sri Narayana Panditacharya is a digest of Valmiki Ramayana and is based on Madhwa Ramayana (part of Maha Bharata Tatparya Nirnaya written by Sri Madhwacharya). In this work theological and philosophical portions are highlighted.
Apart from Valmiki Ramayana, there are certain other Ramayanas, such as Ananda Ramayana, Adbhuta Ramayana etc. These presents the Ramayana from Advaita and Sakta point view. Sangraha Ramayana highlights the Ramayana from Dvaita point of view. Its poetry is charming and is of high order. It will be useful to know the Central theme of Valmiki Rāmāyana.

Dr. S.R. Pandurangi has undertaken the editing work of Sangraha Ramayana of Sri Narayana Panditacharya under my guidance and also under supervision of Prof. Gangadhar Panda, Prof. and Dean of Sampoornananda Sanskrit Vishvavidyala, Varanasi.
The reseacher has consulted six manuscripts in editing this valuable work critically. We record our appreciation in editing this work. It is hoped that this will be received with due appreciation.
It is also hoped that the present edition will be useful to the traditional scholars, modren scholars and advance level research students. We also thank M/s. Vägartha for neat printing.
