Foreword
A culture must not change but evolve. While it attains new features, it should retain old virtues. This coexistence of new and proven gives to a culture the sense of continuity that is the hallmark of a progressive society. If this deliberate blending of trends and traditions is ignored then a society runs a risk of losing its individuation, without which, the inhabiting people miss the cultural core that anchors their sociological as well as psychological selves. This blending is an act of immense responsibility. While it should be done without blind reverence or contaminated cynicism towards the old, it should not be guilty also of ardent enthusiasm or dismissive defensiveness towards the new. It should be a balanced endeavor of reinterpreting and contextualizing, done with the purpose of formulating frameworks that, on one hand, preserve perennial principles, and on the other hand, provide proficient practices. This book is a work that epitomizes such meticulous blending. It has been written within author's mind and a teacher's heart, making knowledge both accessible as well as applicable; and the cultural core that it chooses to taps into comes from a society that, with its sheer longevity is a treasure-trove of wisdom Bharat. This land of sages is as modern (a term essentially different from 'western' the term it is often confused with) in its outlook as it is rooted in its values.

Preface
Namaskar! Every generation inherits more than genes, it inherits a way of seeing, living, and becoming. This book is born out of a quiet but pressing question that many of us carry: How do we raise children in today's world without losing the essence of who we are? In a time where information is abundant but wisdom feels distant, where childhood is being shaped more by than by samskaras, and where family conversations are shrinking by the day, the call to return to Shastriya Parenting is not nostalgic-it is screens necessary. This book is not written from a mountaintop of perfection. It neither expects perfection from the reader nor actions to bring a drastic change. It is to explore some beautiful ways of raising children with love, discipline, and dharma. The foundation of this work rests in Bharatiya shastras, Parampara, and Adhyaatma. It is a humble attempt to weave ancient wisdom into today's lives by rekindling eternal principles. What began as a personal journey slowly turned into a set of reflections and ideas that could help many parents in their journey. The aim is to see a future where children grow up not just competitive, but compassionate. Not just informed but anchored. Not just successful, but sattvik. They serve their Dharma, Nation and most importantly achieve the real purpose of human life.
