In commemoration of Sri Ramakrishna's 175th Birth Anniversary, we are happy to present to the readers this biographical booklet entitled, 'Sri Buddha and Sri Shankaracharya' published by Holy Mother's publication.

The quintessence of the life, work and teach- ings of Sri Buddha and Sri Shankaracharya is unique- ly described in this booklet. Though it is very brief, the significant and worth emulating part from the point of view of the spiritual aspirants is very ably presented.

In its original Marathi language, this book was written by Swami Shivatatvananda and published by Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Buldhana in the year 1988, and was highly appreciated by the readers. We hope that its English translation will also prove to be beneficial to the English readers and will be equally approved by them.

These two articles were then published in the popular newspaper of Nagpur, namely Tarun-Bharat.
