Every civilization has its own ways of distilling its own experiential values it holds sacred and worthy of handing over to posterity. This inherited wisdom acquires moral authority owing to its inherent worth and logical validity. These aphorisms in course of time, acquire a special social and moral authority.
In the Indian tradition Subhashitas are such valuable storehouse of the wisdom of life's experiences. Generations have accepted the wisdom and validity of Subhashitas that reflect the distilled essence of human wisdom and experience.
Sri. K.G. Raghavan, the author is a respected senior advocate. Apart from his forensic brilliance, this collection of 'Subhashitas brings out another dimension of his personality at once beautiful, enriching and spiritually elevating. It is only an evolved soul that can contribute to the enrichment of the moral and spiritual dimensions of contemporary life.
I convey my respectful appreciation of this noble work and of the noble author whose multifaceted personality is the mark of a truly 'dutiful' man who accepts the gross matter that life has entrusted him with and turns it into spirit.
