About the Book One question that has been bothering mankind since time immemorial is, what happens to us, where do we go once our body is dissolved. Various theories have been proposed by systems after systems, the dualists speak of threefold eschatology, where when a man dies he goes to heaven or goes to the sphere of the wicked persons to roam as ghosts and demons or falls back to earth only to be reborn as animals, here the non-dualists or Advaitists ask, how can one come and go, and to what place, especially when one is infinite? The very question of birth and death concerning this soul turns out to be nonsensical, as the soul or the self of the man is omnipresent and everywhere and the talks of birth and death, of havens and higher, havens, are a childish dream and vanishes the moment one realizes the truth.

Preface Thank you for picking up this book, which is one of the first and major milestones of a journey that began during the early spring of 2014, a time when I was a doctoral student at Tezpur University, Assam. As a researcher of tumor immunology and a student of science, it was quite unlikely that I would dive deep into the realms of the philosophical world, but it was the pain and sufferings that I observed during my study that prompted me to ask questions. Questions, I knew the technology and skill I had at my disposal were not capable of answering them, questions about life, purpose, and death. However, undesirable it might appear, death is the only certainty, only promise we can be assured of not being broken and with death comes life. Science has taught me that at the cellular level each cell after it is born, learns, adapts, evolves and when the time comes, passes on the information to the next progeny and dies.
