THIS book is a brief epitome of my Theosophy at its present stage of unfoldment, for though there are certain fundamental principles underlying the Science of Theosophy - possibly such as I have ventured to indicate in the Envoi at the end, each student should be gradually finding his own Theosophy for himself, his own understanding of the science of living.
I have sketched mine in order that some of those who read this book may desire to find theirs possibly, even probably, a Theosophy in many of its features radically different from my own. It must be clearly understood, therefore, that I am far from laying down the beliefs, opinions and principles current among Theosophists. Many may differ radically from mine. So much the better. What each needs is his own, individually reached Theosophy, not somebody else's. My hope is that I have whetted the appetite of my readers for Theosophy, for the simple reason that I am so restlessly and discontentedly happy in mine, ever-changing as it fortunately is, ever growing, I hope, more closely resembling the Theosophy which is the eternal Science of Life.
