The blue-bodied god teasingly lifts the edge of his beloved's odhini that threatened to conceal her face from him. His eyes exude mischief as a mirthful smile plays on his lips. Even if he is not playing the flute, he must carry it all the time, as its part of his being. He wears a tiara with a peacock feather tucked in the side. He wears jewellery of all kinds, and of course, his yellow lower garment.
Radha, who is going to the river to fetch water in the pot held precariously at her waist, is intercepted by the naughty cowherd. She is wearing a wine coloured odhini and ghagra and a pale green choli and has demurely down cast eyes.
The background has thick foliage and a lotus filled river with sloping hills in the distance.
