The Shri Yantram is the most complex and powerful of all the yantrams in Buddhist tantric tradition. Each of the nine interlocking isosceles triangles are centred on the all-important bindu, the locus of the Devi's supreme power, the point of superlative consciousness. Indeed it is the mother of all yantras, engraved with superb precision on pure copper foundation. Three levels depicted by the straight curves (trirekha) that enclose the encloses the shodashadala padma (sixteen-petalled lotus) and the ashtadala padma (eight-petalled lotus), three girdles in the for of concentric circles (trivritta), and the bhupura (area between the trirekha and the trivritta, constitute the sacred precinct of this yantra. This yantra is the home of the ten siddhis of anima (power to become minute), laghima (power of weightlessness), mahima (power of strength), ishitva (power over others), iccha (power to attain one's desires), garima (power to gain superhuman weight), sarva-kamasiddhi (power to carry out one's intentions no matter what), vashitva (power to attract others), prakamya (power to assume any outward form), and bhukti (delight in power).
