A Symbol of Radiance and Auspiciousness

Illuminate your sacred spaces and home with this exquisite brass hanging lamp, a masterpiece of Indian craftsmanship. Adorned with the majestic peacock, a creature steeped in mythology and symbolism, this lamp is more than just a source of light; it is an embodiment of beauty, prosperity, and spiritual awakening. The intricate detailing on the brasswork speaks of generations of artisanal skill, passed down through families in India, ensuring each piece is a unique work of art.

The Divine Peacock and its Significance

The peacock, in Indian culture, is deeply intertwined with divinity and auspiciousness. It is the vahana (vehicle) of Lord Kartikeya, the god of war and victory, symbolizing courage and the destruction of evil. It is also associated with Goddess Saraswati, representing knowledge and artistry, and with Lord Krishna, who famously wears a peacock feather in his crown, signifying divine charm and cosmic beauty. The shimmering feathers of the peacock are said to represent the eyes of the heavens, watching over and protecting all. This lamp, featuring a beautifully rendered peacock at its apex, brings these powerful positive energies into your home, creating an atmosphere of peace and spiritual abundance.

Ethereal Light and Melodious Chimes

This stunning lamp features eight individual diyas, traditionally filled with oil and cotton wicks, designed to cast a warm, inviting glow. The arrangement of these diyas around a central motif creates a radiant halo of light, perfect for enhancing the ambiance of your prayer room, living area, or any space seeking a touch of divine elegance. Suspended beneath each diya are delicate brass bells. When gently stirred by a breeze, these bells produce a soft, melodious chime, reminiscent of temple bells, further invoking a sense of tranquility and devotion. These bells are not merely decorative; their sound is believed to ward off negative energies and invite positive vibrations, adding another layer of spiritual significance to this remarkable piece.

A Testament to Traditional Artistry

Handmade in India, this lamp is a celebration of traditional metalworking techniques. The lustrous brass, known for its durability and timeless appeal, has been expertly shaped and etched to create a piece that is both robust and intricately beautiful. The hanging chain and hook are also crafted from brass, ensuring a cohesive and elegant presentation. Whether used for daily puja rituals, special festive occasions, or as a striking decorative element, this lamp promises to be a cherished addition to your home, a constant reminder of India's rich cultural heritage and the enduring power of light and sound.

How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?

Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.

Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.

  • The best and simplest way to maintain a brass statue is to clean it at least twice a week using a soft cloth or cotton rag. This will prevent dust from accumulating on the surface. Dusting is especially important for outdoor statues since it is prone to dust accumulation much more than indoors.

  • To give a natural shine and luster to the statue, you may apply coconut or olive oil using cotton on every portion. You can use a toothbrush to get to the small crevices but do not be too harsh. This will make the brass statue appear fresh and new with a polished look.

  • In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.

Brass idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are especially known for their intricate and detailed work of art. Nepalese sculptures are famous for small brass idols portraying Buddhist deities. These sculptures are beautified with gold gilding and inlay of precious or semi-precious stones. Religious brass statues can be kept at home altars. You can keep a decorative brass statue in your garden or roof to embellish the area and fill it with divinity.
