Lord Shiva, the Destroyer and Transformer, is one of the principal deities of Hinduism, revered as the supreme being. Known by countless names and embodying a multitude of paradoxes, Shiva represents both the fearsome and the benevolent, the ascetic and the householder, the cosmic dancer and the silent meditator. A Serpent's Crown, A Symbol of Power

From this perilous endeavor, a deadly poison (Halahala) emerged, threatening to engulf the universe. Shiva, in his boundless compassion, consumed the poison to save all beings. The poison turned his throat blue, earning him the epithet "Neelakantha" (blue-throated). The serpent, therefore, symbolizes Shiva's control over the most potent and dangerous forces, his ability to neutralize poison and overcome destruction. In this sculpture, the serpentine coils gracefully wrap around Shiva's head, reflecting this mastery and the eternal cycle of creation and destruction that he embodies.
