Devi Lakshmi, the Shakti of Sri Vishnu in the Hindu pantheon is the bestower of auspiciousness, wealth, and success in the four cardinal goals of Purushartha. It is through her that the preserver Vishnu sustains the Srishti. In this magnificent bronze statue, goddess Lakshmi is presented in a heavenly Chaturbhuja (four-armed) form, enthroned on a two-tiered pedestal, on an inverted lotus. She sits cross-legged in Padmasana or lotus posture, holding lotuses in her secondary hands and making the Mudras of Abhaya (fearlessness) and Varada (giving boons) with her primary hands.

Devi Lakshmi is the pinnacle of feminine beauty, an idea which is beautifully captured in this Panchaloha. Adorned with an elongated Kiritamukuta, Devi’s countenance glows from within. Her earrings are embellished with floral and Makara motifs and her necklaces are gemmed and highlight the loveliness of her torso. A Kuchabandha (breastband), Yajnopavita, armlets, and waistband complete the ornamentation of the great goddess. Smiling gently, Devi Lakshmi infuses the metal icon with her sacred aura.

Embodiment of Prosperity and Divine Grace

This exquisite bronze sculpture captures the serene and benevolent form of Devi Lakshmi, the revered Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, fortune, and beauty. Crafted with meticulous detail and timeless artistry, this statue is more than just an object of devotion; it is a testament to spiritual significance and artistic mastery. Devi Lakshmi, known as Shri, is one of the principal deities in Hinduism and is deeply revered by millions. Her presence is believed to bring auspiciousness, material abundance, and spiritual fulfillment. In Hindu mythology, Lakshmi is often depicted as emerging from the cosmic ocean during the Samudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean. She is the consort of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, and her grace is considered essential for the well-being and prosperity of all creation. Her iconography is rich with symbolism. The lotus flower, on which she is often seated, represents purity, beauty, and spiritual enlightenment, as it rises untainted from muddy waters. The four arms of Lakshmi symbolize the four aims of human life as per the Vedic philosophy: Dharma (righteousness, duty), Artha (wealth, prosperity), Kama (desire, love), and Moksha (liberation, salvation).

Artistic Grandeur and Auspicious Symbolism

This magnificent sculpture portrays Devi Lakshmi in a seated posture, radiating an aura of tranquility and abundance. Her serene countenance, adorned with elaborate jewelry, invites devotion and contemplation. In her upper hands, she holds lotus buds, symbolizing growth and new beginnings, while her lower right hand is raised in the Abhaya Mudra, a gesture of fearlessness and protection, bestowing blessings upon her devotees. Her lower left hand rests gracefully on her lap, signifying contentment and spiritual peace. The intricate detailing of her garments, the delicate features of her face, and the regal headdress all speak to the exceptional craftsmanship. The lustrous bronze, imbued with the spirit of ancient traditions, lends a sense of permanence and divine presence to the artwork. This piece is ideally suited to grace any home, temple, or sacred space, serving as a constant reminder of the goddess's benevolent influence and the pursuit of a life filled with prosperity and virtue.
